Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) It's now run by Christine Todd Whitman which is a scary idea but in the past its been a decent resource for environmental information. I guess we'll see if it remains that way. Justice Department - Environment and Natural Resources Division (ENRD) The ENRD, formerly known as the Land and Natural Resources Division, was created on November 16, 1909, as the Public Lands Division. The ENRD's litigation is concerned with the protection, use and development of the nation's natural resources and public lands, wildlife protection, Indian rights and claims, cleanup of the nation's hazardous waste sites, the acquisition of private property for federal use, and defense of environmental challenges to government programs and activities. The ENRD is the nation's environmental lawyer, and the largest environmental law firm in the country. Finally got one Xmas 1997 (Diana gave it to me. Just one more reason why I love the girl) and I lusted after one the whole time in between. Mine has over 10,000 miles on it and it just keeps getting smoother. Not the lightest, nearly the most expensive, pretty as a picture, best damn hubs on earth and they'll outlive you and probably your kids too. Rivendell Bicycle Works Grant and the guys at Rivendell aren't retro-grouches, they just love bikes from a simpler time. They understand bicycles and put their heart and souls into the ones they make. (I want an All-Rounder) And besides they know Phil Wood personally. I mean they hang out together. Oh and they sell this really weird pine tar soap. It smells like you just walked into the tire department at Sears. Its cool. Terry Precision Cycling Georgena Terry makes bikes and accessories designed specifically for women. I've never ridden one of her bikes and frankly since they're designed women they probably wouldn't fit me anyway but I like her attitude and her style. She's a positive force in bicycling. Waterford Bicycles Incredibly beautiful steel bikes from a group that I guess were the Paramount/Schwinn pro shop guys or something like that. You can have your steel bike anyway you want too.
