rave OPINIONSuave® shampooI was washing my hair this morning when a thought struck me... "This Suave® is great shampoo." I could rave about it. Shampoos really have a fairly simple function but when it comes right down to it, some do it remarkably bad. Suave® does it remarkably great and therefore becomes our first rave! In my estimation a shampoo should first and foremost clean your hair. Seems simple but some shampoos make my hair feel dirtier than when I started, especially the kind that have the cream rinse (which I don't like to use) already built in. Second, shampoo should clean your hair without stripping it of whatever the good things are that make hair nice. I've used a few of those too. They dry out your scalp and give you dandruff. Since I like to shower a lot and eschew cream rinse, these are a real problem. Third, shampoo should not have a strong smell. I don't care if my shampoo smells, but once I rinse it out I don't want to smell it at all. Same thing with soap. When I used to ride the train there were some passengers who smelled like soap, shampoo, perfume/cologne, deodorant, etc. all at the same time. Believe me, that's not good, particularly when you get about 100 different combinations in a train car simultaneously battling for supremacy. Anyway Suave® does everything its supposed to and at $1.69 for 22.5 ounces... it's a bargain to boot. Now whenever I use it I'm going to wonder why other shampoos exist at all. It comes in several flavors and I've tried a few but to tell you the truth I can't discern much difference from one to the next, they all seem to work the same, which is just fine.
